Your self-study tab is found under your profile in the menu bar. It reflects all the lessons that you are;
- subscribed to
- have bookmarked
- marked as studied
The self-study tab also comes with it's very own private RSS feed which means you can add it to iTunes and study on the go with the Apple podcast app or Overcast app (recommended). For more instructions on this, please read this guide.
Subscribed lessons can be added and removed from your feed settings in your account. When new lessons get published from that particular level, your self study feed will update.
If you are a new user, the subscribed lessons will get added as they are released, so you will only show the latest lessons. For long time users, you will likely have a long list of lessons published.
If you want to stop getting new lessons from a particular level added to your feed, you can go to feed settings and click Stop Studying and press Update. Don't worry, you can always see all the latest lesson by checking the Latest Lessons Page, or subscribing to our weekly newsletter.
If you see a lesson that you want to save for later, you can bookmark it and it will get added to your self-study feed. The benefits of bookmarked lessons is that it allows you to save older lessons and get them in your self study tab for easy reference. You can also think of your bookmarks as favourites.
Bookmarked lessons have a green bookmark next to them and you can choose to hide them by clicking on filter. To learn about that, read this guide.
3. Mark As Studied
If you want to track your progress and check off lessons that you feel you have studied thoroughly, click "Mark studied" and your progress will move up. You can view studied lesson by following this guide. Each time you mark it studied, the progress bar will increase. When the dark blue bars fill completely, it's a good time to think about moving up a difficulty level. I recommend interspersing hard lessons from a higher level with lessons that you are comfortable with. Read about lesson levels here.
